Earlier this month, we were proud to begin working with Bill Gasiamis, the creator of The Transit Lounge Podcast. Bill is a stroke survivor who would like to help other stroke survivors recover and lead healthier and happier lives than they had before.
Part of our strategy is to transform The Transit Lounge Podcast into a multimedia channel to attract and inform people recovering from stroke, and one of the first tasks giving it a proper brand. These are some concepts our designers have been working on. The ‘transit lounge’ idea came from Bill’s time spent in hospital waiting rooms, where he liked to imagine he and others were waiting to start their trip to a better place. Hence the tagline for the podcast, which is all about recovery: ‘Getting from where you are to where you’d rather be’. We started with some airport signage concepts but Bill wanted something a little more ‘recovery obvious’, and to inject some humour. We’ll see what the final decision is once the new website is launched.
In the works is a 10 step online program that will support stroke survivors in their recovery, in between their appointments with doctors and OTs. We’ll keep you posted as the brand and business develops.
